A Swirling Vortex of Sin

by Bryant Evans on February 21, 2012

VortexThe Bible is clear. The world will get worse. Just when you think mankind has begun to show some fear of God you find that our culture has moved even lower.

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived”  (2 Timothy 3:12-13).

It’s not just Hollywood. It’s our neighbors and friends who seem to be caught up in this vortex of sin. Picture a great swirling whirlpool in the middle of an ocean. Christians cling to anything that will keep them from being sucked down. Meanwhile, others are drowning in sin.

There is a single solution to this problem: Jesus Christ.

“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost” (1 Timothy 1:15).

“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Let’s not ignore the drowning neighbors. Cast them the line that saves them from eternal death. Tell them of Jesus!

Amen to this post! This will awaken all the people to do good. Whoever is afraid to end the world is a person who haven’t received Christ in their life.

Good comparision of the vortex. Now picture the vortex as the work of the evil one trying to suck the attainment of eternal life from you. Just look all around you and observe.

The vortex of sin is real and very disheartening. Thank you for your admonition. Tell them of Jesus!

I agree with you. Our Christian duty does not end in ourselves; we must spread the word so that others will also believe and be saved.

It’s nice to be nice with the word of God, nothing impossible if you are believing him and for me he is the solution of anything else in this world… By him, through him.. I am able to face every challenge of life with :)

I agree with you, we are in the vortex of sin. What we need is to hold strong to our faith so that we won’t end up inside the vortex.

The ways of man are not the ways of God. What is impossible for man or illogical forman is possible for God.
